My first Teacher's Day-05/09/2025
"A teacher affects eternity; he can never tell where his influence stops." – Henry Adams
This year, Teachers’ Day at METCA Institute of Teacher Education unfolded in a way that was quiet yet deeply meaningful. There were no decorated stages or crowded halls, no cultural programs filling the air with applause. Instead, the celebration bloomed within the hearts of students, who found creative ways to express their gratitude from home.
Edited videos, collages, and digital artworks became their language of appreciation. Each frame and clip reflected memories of classrooms, lessons, and the everyday moments where teachers touched lives in ways words often fail to capture. Some videos carried a playful charm, others a nostalgic warmth, but together they painted a single truth — that the bond between teacher and student is not bound by walls or distance.
As a first-year B.Ed student, it was my very first Teachers’ Day, and when Deepa Miss wished us “Happy Teachers’ Day,” I felt something profoundly grateful, as if a small seed of responsibility and pride had been planted in me.
Even though we were apart, the spirit of the day felt closer than ever. Gratitude flowed through screens, bridging the gap between homes and hearts. What might have seemed a simple digital gesture became a testament to the timeless influence of teachers — guiding, encouraging, and inspiring, even when physical presence was not possible.
Teachers’ Day 2025 at METCA will be remembered not for its grandeur, but for its sincerity. It showed us that celebration does not always need an audience or a stage. Sometimes, it lives quietly in the collages of memories, in the echoes of laughter preserved on screen, and in the unspoken thank you carried by every student.
In the end, it was not about how we celebrated, but about why to honor the ones who light our path with knowledge, patience, and hope. HAPPY TEACHER'S DAY!
